MINDBEBOP is an independent, founder-led project focused on everyday mental hygiene — the ongoing care of the mind in daily life. Created by Kentaro Yamauchi, MINDBEBOP offers ultralight, on-device tools designed to reduce everyday thought friction by giving thoughts a place to land, be acknowledged, and naturally come to an end. The project is intentionally non-clinical and non-therapeutic, positioning mental hygiene as a simple daily practice rather than treatment, self-optimization, or performance.
AlgoSync — Building Ultralight Tools to Quiet the Mind’s Endless Loops
MINDBEBOP creates simple, human tools designed to help people notice, respond to, and release thoughts that build up during everyday life.
Mental hygiene is the frame. Thought care is the daily action.
We describe our apps as a mind-brushing kit — lightweight tools for everyday mental hygiene, much like brushing your teeth or taking a shower.
MINDBEBOP is intentionally non-clinical and non-therapeutic. Our tools are not designed to diagnose, treat, or fix — but to help thoughts land, be acknowledged, and reach a natural endpoint instead of becoming thought residue.

MINDBEBOP is not:
MINDBEBOP occupies a space that currently has no direct equivalent. Most mind-related apps either guide behavior (journaling, mindfulness, therapy, productivity) or capture attention (media, games, ambient tools).
MINDBEBOP does neither. Its integrated tools—MindFlipOut, MindShoutOut, MindZoneOut, MindEaseOut, and the procedural MindShiftBackyard—are designed to reduce thought friction and then immediately disengage, without goals, tracking, or retention.
MindFlipOut — A tool for responding to a thought that keeps repeating, so it doesn’t keep circling.
MindShoutOut — A tool for setting reminders so important thoughts don’t have to be held in your head.
MindZoneOut — A stillness tool that creates short moments of intentional pause and quiet, allowing thought friction to ease.
MindBackOut — A tool for briefly stepping out of an internal role or identity that has been held too tightly, allowing pressure to loosen without analysis or self-evaluation.
MindEaseOut — A lightweight release function embedded across MINDBEBOP tools, designed to help thoughts tied to the past or future gently disengage once they have been acknowledged.
MindShiftBackyard — A procedural, outcome-free environment designed to support mental decompression through quiet presence rather than guidance, goals, or interaction.
Kentaro Yamauchi — Founder / Creator
Kentaro Yamauchi created MINDBEBOP from lived experience and observation
rather than from a clinical or academic framework.
His work focuses on designing simple, humane tools
that support everyday mental hygiene
without turning inner life into a performance or diagnosis.
The project grew out of everyday habits — using a notebook and plain text tools to write thoughts down, save them, and move on. Over time, those small practices became the foundation for tools designed to help thoughts land, be acknowledged, and released before becoming residue.
MINDBEBOP apps operate entirely on the user’s device. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell personal data.
Anything created in the apps stays on the device and is removed when the app is uninstalled.
